Field Green Design are Sustainable Building Consultants; specialising in the coordination | design | technology of residential developments (single & multi-family) to the Passive House standard, using Building Biology principles. Our head office is in the United Kingdom, and have satellite offices in British Columbia & New Zealand.
We feel it is important to create built environments which have a positive, rather than negative impact on the planet, as well as human health. Buildings are said to be one of the biggest contributors to global warming and waste to landfill, and along with the indoor air quality of some buildings being said to carry more pollutants than that of outside air, means we not only have the opportunity to reduce the impacts on our planet, but we can also make a difference to people’s lives for the better.
We aspire to limit household emissions and to reduce construction waste, as well as enhance building occupant health & well-being; specifically creating homes that meet the occupants needs, whilst also reducing the operational costs of running a home and limiting the negative effects buildings can have on our planet. We believe this can be achieved via a holistic approach throughout the design stages, creating homes that are as healthy + efficient as possible, environmentally, as well as economically and socially.
Field Green Design understand the dynamic balance of location and climate, specifying local resources where possible. We believe the impact of every building can be minimised over its whole life cycle; from reducing the energy consumed both during construction and in use, to carefully selecting materials to reduce the buildings environmental footprint. Our natural and creative approach to projects, along with our unique skill set, enables us to explore renewable and cost-effective materials specific to each site.
As a consultancy, we continue to be at the forefront of the industry, challenging conventional ideas whilst creating forward thinking, innovative, but practical buildings.
